Hospitality Info
What do we mean by hospitality? In the contra dance community, hospitality is offered to those folks coming in from out of town for a dance, sometimes referred to as dance gypsies. This makes traveling to dances in other cities much more affordable! It also gives you a chance to get to know dancers in other communities.
Hospitality consists of a place to sleep, clean bedding, pillow, and towel. Host and guest coordinate on details, where to meet, breakfast, etc. If traveling conditions allow, guests frequently bring items to make their stay less burdensome to the host, such as their own sleeping bag, towels, or a favorite pillow. We try to match hosts and guests with consideration to things such as pet allergies, smoking preferences, etc.
Hospitality is available, however it is limited. As our dance community grows, so too will our ability to offer more in the future!
